Preserve Fresh Fruit Without a Refrigerator: A Year-Long Solution in a Glass Jar

Believe it or not, you can keep fruit fresh for an entire year without the need for a refrigerator. With a straightforward process, you can seal and maintain the freshness of a variety of fruits in large quantities, stored neatly in glass jars.

However, remember that once the fruit is properly arranged in the jars, it’s crucial to store them at a temperature not exceeding 18 degrees in a dry place. Additionally, consume the preserved fruit within a few days after opening the jar.

Steps to Preserve Fruit in Glass Jars:

  1. Obtain a jar with a capacity of one and a half liters.
  2. Bring a pot of water to a boil on the stove.
  3. Remove stems and leaves from the fruit to be preserved, then wash and rinse it thoroughly, ensuring proper drying.

Continuation of the Process:

  1. Place the prepared fruit into the glass jars.
  2. Pour hot water into the jars, filling them to the brim.
  3. Allow the jars to sit aside for 10 minutes, ensuring lids are placed without closing them.
  4. After the allotted time, pour the water from the jars into a saucepan and bring it to a boil.
  5. Add two tablespoons of sugar to the fruit, then pour the boiling water back into the jars.
  6. Seal the jars hermetically, leaving a free edge at the top.
  7. Wrap the glass jars in two towels and set them aside.
  8. Let them cool at room temperature for 24 hours.

Following these steps, you can successfully preserve fruit for up to 12 months, offering a fresh and convenient alternative to refrigeration
